1. New Feature - Surf by Category!
Now on BlogExplosion you can now customize how you surf other member blogs!
By clicking on the Surf Settings link in the members area (link under RED Surf Member Blogs) you can customize what blogs you want to read.
Customize - Blogs I want to Read
When surfing on BlogExplosion you can select what type of blogs you want to read. For example if you only want to read blogs about Politics then select Politics from the drop-down box. Once selected the majority of the blogs you read will only be about Politics. Note: Once all of the Politics blogs in current circulation (blogs with credits assigned) are exhausted you will begin to see other types of blogs as well. There is a good chance that if you wait for a few hours or return the next day there will be more sites to view in the category of your choice.
Customize - Do not view category
Is there a category of blogs you prefer not to read? Now on BlogExplosion you can choose not to view blogs from any category of your choice. Combine this with the \'Blogs I Want to Read\' feature and you can surf blogs that only interest you! Note: By selecting a -Do not View- category can mean a reduction in the number of overall sites available for you to view. If you find yourself running out of sites to view, simply come back and adjust your surf settings
These surf customization features are brand new as of today and we appreciate any feedback you might have. Also report any bugs that you might find. Thanks

2. New Feature - Adult/Mature Blogs now accepted
BlogExplosion received negative feedback in the past about not accepting certain content where we were put in the unfortunate position of playing content cops. We have NO interest in censoring internet content (other than extreme cases) so BlogExplosion now offers a Adult/Mature setting for members.
You can now accept Adult/Mature Blogs to surf by clicking the Adult/Mature toggle directly from the surfbar or by once again clicking on the Surf Settings link from the Members Area http://www.blogexplosion.com/members/surf_setup.php
The default setting for Adult/Mature is set to DO NOT VIEW and each member will need to change the setting in order to see Adult or Mature themed blogs.
Note: We are still very sensitive to how this topic should be addressed so once again we are asking for member feedback here so that we can make BlogExplosion the best possible.

3. New Feature - Win Mystery Credits w/ShoutBox!
Like chatting? How about the chance of winning bonus blog traffic by using the BlogExplosion ShoutBox?
After you login, from the main members page anytime you post to the shoutbox all members have a chance at randomly winning Mystery Credits!
Note:
i) Any members trying to post muliple message or flood the shoutbox with empty messages in the hopes of winning mystery credits will see their accounts suspended or deleted.
ii) Winning mystery credits is completely random where all members have an equal chance of winning credits 24/7

4. New Feature - Technorati, Google, Bloglines
Now from the BlogExplosion Blog Directory if you look at any of the blogs listed in the dirctory you will see links to Google, Technorati and Bloglines for that specific blog.
Now as an added directory resource you can find where blogs are listed on Google, Technorati and Bloglines as well. It is little features like this that make BlogExplosion much more than a blog traffic exchange and members have additional functionality to help find blogs on the internet.
Look for the links under each listed blog now and utilize this useful resource

With all of these new features added today along with the new Review feature launched recently, BlogExplosion has really made an effort to listen to our members and what we can do to make the site better.
We have another major BE release coming out in the next week or two and several more projects in development that will shortly follow.
