2. Updated BlogExplosion SEARCH functionality updated soon
We realize the importance or providing good search functionality to help find other blogs on BlogExplosion so we have been updating the search scripts to provide relevant search results. We expect to complete the first upgrade to the search scripts this week which will actually be the first of five search functionality updates to take place over the next 2-3 months that will ultimately provide excellent search results for members.
Please stay tuned for additional details on updated search news coming out in multiple phases to improve your experience on the site.

3. Cleaning the database of old and un-used blogs
As much fun as it is to show off big numbers on BlogExplosion we are not lost that quality always is a better measure of success than quantity.
Infact we are constantly deleting old blogs that are no longer active from the database and blogs reported by members where something is wrong with that particular blog.
For new daily approvals coming in we deny approximately 30% of new approvals coming in each day.. Getting listed on BlogExplosion is definitely not an automatic thing and we are raising the bar to getting listed on the site to maintain the best standards possible.
Also a reminder if you have a blog that you have not updated for a long time we suggest you keep your blog active to avoid your blog being deleted from the system!!

4. BlogExplosion redesign update
Just to let members know we are still working on the re-design of BlogExplosion and it looks great so far. The shaking people on the front page will be gone along with the scrolling text as well which will be replaced with a brand new design in the next month or so.
We would love to show members the updated design so far but unfortunately due to competitive sites stealing our ideas we have to wait until the design is ready. We have two more major projects to integrate with the new launch and also several minor fixes to existing features that will give BlogExplosion V2.0 a whole new look and feel!
Thanks for your patience as we continue to improve BlogExplosion and we promise it will be definitely worth the wait.
