1. New Feature - BlogExplosion has a blog!
Many have noted how can BlogExplosion say anything about blogging when we do not have a blog ourselves?
We are happy to announce the launch of http://www.helpmeblog.com the official blog of BlogExplosion!
With so much (too much) information out there about blogging it can get very confusing trying to keep up with the all latest stuff going on. On helpmeblog.com we hope to cover interesting blogging news, have special guest bloggers, latest BlogExplosion updates and other resources to provide a solid resource you can use.
This blog is brand new and we encourage members to provide us feedback to what additions you want to see. We are looking at displaying member thumbnails when commenting on the blog so members will get additional exposure to their blogs as well.

2. Design the helpmeblog.com logo and win $100
We need a logo for helpmeblog.com and giving away $100 (Paypal) to the member who can design the best logo. Members will then vote on what logo they think is best and we will use the winning logo on our blog!
BlogExplosion is also donating $500 to charities on behalf of BlogExplosion members during this contest. Check out the BlogExplosion forums and you can read about how to submit entry for a chance to win $100.

3. Rent My Blog - Out of Beta and now live
Rent My Blog is now live and out of BETA. It looks to be very popular so far.

Renting your blog?
You can set your price from 10-500 credits per week to rent space on your blog.
If you are not an active surfer of BlogExplosion you can still rent out space on your blog. Think about the scenario of renting your blog for 50 credits a week. That is 200 credits for the month.. 200 potential visitors to your blog for simply renting out a thumbnail space. Not bad when you think about and very easy to do!
Remember. Bids are 10-500 credits and all campaigns run for 1 week.

4. New front page updates
Just a quick note that on the main page of BlogExplosion http://www.blogexplosion.com/ the rotator image now has links to Headlines, Ping My Blog and the member forums. Second below the login box you will also see the Our Blog and Member Forums links now active as well.

5. Writers needed -- buyblogcontent.com ????
Yes we are now working on the Knowledge module which we hope to get out over the next couple of weeks. But immediately following we will be looking to launch a potential BETA version of buyblogcontent.com
buyblogcontent.com will be designed where members can sell blog posts, writing and articles for other members to use on their blogs. If you are an expert in a certain area you can use your knowledge to provide great blog content for other people.
Yes there are copyright control issues that we need to address and working on but buyblogcontent.com will be where members can buy and sell blog content for credits. Tricky to program but we think a plan is in the works.
Moving forward we see buyblogcontent.com a place where members can buy banners, logos, design work and graphics. Also we want to have it where members can sell podcast and videocast content to other members as well where buyblogcontent.com is a central place to get all of you blog content.
There is no substitute for writing your own blog content but we think this idea wil help members find great blog content out there.
buyblogcontent.com projected launch date is the end of 2005 or early 2006.

6. Improved Customer Support
It is great to be launching new features all the time but we know we need to support our customers better. I am looking at 50 emails in the queue right now and we have been training support people here to help get blogs and banners activated quicker and to help with answering support tickets.
We openly admit we need help in dealing with growth of the site and taking the steps to improve our support. We even get cranky when dealing with customers sometimes and that is a clear sign we need to get more support help.
It is frustrating for us as a small company but we continue to push forward and try to make BlogExplosion the best it can be. Thanks again for everyone keeping us in line and your continued patience with us as the site matures.
