1. New Feature - ShoutBox v2.0 w/ Audio and Video!
The new BlogExplosion SHOUTBOX went live yesterday and all I can say is you have to check it out for yourself.. 100% crazy fun and entertainment.
LIVE AUDIO and VIDEO Chat!
Get your Webcams and Microphones ready because BlogExplosion brings you a whole new dimension of chatting with other bloggers!
You can HEAR other members and you can SEE other members!
Now bloggers from all around the world can come together and have fun as BlogExplosion continues to build the largest blog community on the internet with leading-edge technologies. This is fun - You gotta try it out!
Things you should know:
1) The new SB is Flash-based and you will need to install Flash on your computer to see audio and video
2) Mystery Credits will be integrated once we test the chat application further
3) Games like ShoutBox FRENZY will be integrated soon
4) BlogExplosion will keep the OLD ShoutBox running until further notice
We realize that chatting with audio and video can be intimidating for many people but be brave and try it out as you can select NOT to have audio or video enabled...
If nothing else in the end you will probably be entertained by all the crazy things going on at any time as members listen in and watch other BlogExplosion members.
Remember: The new ShoutBOX is definitely still in BETA. Please report any problems that you come across.

2. 2005 BE Christmas and NewYears Contest results
The 2005 BlogExplosion Christmas and NewYears Contest has now concluded and turned out to be a huge success as we gave away over $1000 in cash prizes.

3. New Features to be launched early next week
Actually we have 2 new features that are ready to go TODAY but with the new ShoutBox launch we are concerned that it may overwhelm everyone. So...
VideoCasts are ready to go and will be part of the Podcast Directory update that we will turn live early in the week. We feel strongly that podcasting and videocasting will play a large role in the future of the net and will be an important update for BlogExplosion so stay tuned for additional details.

4. March to 100,000 BlogExplosion members
Finally we know that everyone hates change as many people loved the old ShoutBox, but we were getting too busy and needed to come up with a scalable solution to meet customer demand. Technology changes so fast on the internet these days that we need to try and keep up with the rest of the market which is not always easy to do. We are aiming for 100,000 BlogExplosion members by the end of 2006 and have to have the right infrastructure in place to get there.
Things will change, features will change but in the end we promise you that we will continue to bring you the best that we can build and try to make BE the best site possible.
