I have been promising a newsletter filled with lots of fun information and sneak-peaks of what is to come. Well, I'm sorry to say but this isn't that newsletter. But, see #3 anyway.

1. PayPal Payment Problem

We are experiencing a problem with the system that automatically processes purchases made on the BlogExplosion. At this time, accounts are not being immediately updated with the credits and/or banner impressions that you purchased. We know what is causing the problem and we are working to correct it as I type.
However, in the meantime, I am processing all of your purchases manually in the order they come in. As far as I know, all pending payments have been processed. But, if you have made a purchase recently and have yet to see your account updated, please find the receipt that PayPal sent you when you made the purchase and forward it to lewis@blogexplosion.com.
(Normally I would tell you to open a support ticket - that won't work this time. In the future you should open a support ticket.)

2. Rent My Blog Issues

Did you know that BlogExplosion is now running on brand-new super-cool fast servers? If not, that means you haven't logged in for a while!
Since we moved the site, I'm happy to say that everything is working EXCEPT for Rent My Blog. Every time I think I've got it working, it decides to not work again. It's like Whack-A-Mole.
I have been working to correct the problem, but I've decided to TEMPORARILY take Rent My Blog offline until I can figure out the problem once and for all. I will do everything in my power to preserve campaign statistics and things like that. You won't need to remove the Rent My Blog codes from your blog...you can leave then there with no problems until it's back up and running.

3. OK...I did promise SOME good news

A brand new initiative has been started internally to boost production over the next few months to kick out as many of the bugs and implement as many new features as we can. It's all very exciting I swear.
As I said before, I'm not going to go into the full list of what's coming, but here's a sample.
a) A New Support Ticket System - we've needed one for a long time and it's almost ready. The new system will allow requests to be handled more efficiently by staff and will allow us to track reported bugs on a large scale instead of keeping a manual list of bugs. All in all...tickets will be responded to faster and you will have access to your own support page where you can track your tickets.
b) A New Blog Approval System - right now our current solution only allows one person to approve blogs at a time. With the large number of new blogs being submitted daily, it's almost not enough to handle! So, the new system will address these problems. Blog approvals will be faster, more accurate, and will come with detailed information when a blog is denied.
c) Cosmetic Changes! - Yes, that's right...BlogExplosion will be having some cosmetic changes. It's not the only thing that will change on the front-end...but it's all I'm going to tell you about now. The changes will take place gradually starting with minor changes to the current design and ending with a completely different design. We will be looking for people to be the first to preview the new design - more on that later.
So...there's just a little sample. :)
