1. New Feature - Old Rating System 100% Re-Designed!
Well we have certainly received lots of feedback since the launch of BlogExplosion and the much-discussed Ratings Feature. Many members complained that receiving a simple 1-10 rating did not provide any helpful information about their blog and that the old Rating system turned out to be nothing more than a popularity contest.... We listened..
After gathering member feedback for the last two months BlogExplosion has completely re-designed the Rating system and as of yesterday members can now Review other member blogs !!
Members can now review other member blogs with an extensive 11 step process and the ability to add feedback for each step. Blogs can now be reviewed for:
Step 1: Rating Step (Best Word to Describe and What you Liked Most)
Step 2: Style / Design
Step 3: Regular/recent content updates
Step 4: Loads quickly
Step 5: Interesting content
Step 6: Technical/Errors
Step 7: Choice of colours
Step 8: Grammar
Step 9: Use of Plug-ins
Step 10: Layout
Step 11: Summary (Summary Description)
Since Day 1 many members of BlogExplosion have pointed out that getting people to actually read your blog and leave comments is much more important than just getting empty visitors. With the release of the new Review feature there are many more benefits to this new system over the old rating system and will result in members getting more quality feedback from other members.
Remember quality traffic is the top concern for us at BlogExplosion. It only takes a few minutes to review another member blog and eventhough it is more complex than the old Rating system the benefits again definitely outweigh the negatives.
Hint. A little tip for the future..
We also point out that the Review system is not 100% complete yet and there may very well be benefits for members that spend the time to review other member blogs.
The BlogExplosion Top10 directory has also been updated to list 10 random blogs with reviews. This again makes BlogExplosion much more than a popularity contest and over time will make BE one of the top blog resource websites on the internet.
Final words about the BlogExplosion Review System - We realize that some people may be upset about scrapping the old Rating System. We also realize it is impossible to design a website that makes 100% of our members completely happy. The new Review Feature is the first step of a multi-stage update that will take place over the next 6 months and we are always open for suggestions and member feedback during the entire process. Our members are our customers and BlogExplosion is nothing without our members!

5. More New Features Coming Soon!!
We have seen a couple of Blog Traffic Exchange copycat sites popping up on the internet that are similar to BlogExplosion (except without all the functionality we offer). Competition is actually a good thing and makes us work that much harder to keep our members happy...
The new Review feature launched yesterday was a big project for us to complete, but now we are free to work on several new BlogExplosion features.
We ask that you be patient as we continue to design all of the new functionality, but we promise you BlogExplosion will continue to remain the largest Blog Traffic Exchange on the internet with the best features available.
Remember unlike other Blog Traffic Exchanges we offer ALL members the same functionality and benefits. We do not believe in charging for paid memberships to receive additional benefits and we will continue to give ALL of our members the best features possible.
