How does it work?
There are 7 stages to Blog Tycoon. At the end of each stage you can either take the credits you have earned to that point in the game or risk them all and go for blogging glory. Finish Blog Tycoon and win thousands of BlogExplosion credits!

| Stage 1 : Meet Joe Gibbons | |
 Let me introduce myself. My name is Joe Gibbons and I live in a quiet little town where I live alone with my two dogs. I used to work for the local paper a few years ago as a freelance writer, but eventually quit because there was nothing exciting to ever write about and eventually lost interest.
I took up photography and as a way to pass time, I even started my own blog. I have to admit that my blog is incredibly boring, but it was a way for me to express myself as I have always dreamed about being a professional journalist... I just wish I had something to blog about other than posting pictures of birds and my garden. Nothing ever happens here..... |

| Stage 2 : Strange lights | |
 One night when I was preparing a steak on the BBQ, out of the sky I saw blinding streaks of lights that eventually fell away into the forest behind the house.
It has been overcast all day and I thought it must be a thunderstorm in the clouds that created those brilliant lights. Big storms were common in this part of the state, so that had to be it.... Strange. I could see flickers of light about a half mile into the woods still. What could it be? |

| Stage 3 : I have Aliens in my backyard | |
 So I decided to check it out. Rubber boots, camera and flashlight in hand I make my way out to the back woods.....
After passing a small clearing I can still see strange lights coming from deeper in the forest. I cautiously continue my way forward where my breath is taken away. I can't move, I can't breathe. Immediate in front of me there are strange creatures that defy any explanation. I take my camera out and take several pictures as there simply are no words to quantify what I see infront of me. What are these creatures? Is that a spaceship I see? Those lights must have been a spaceship landing down into the forest. Aliens? I must be losing my mind... |

 Scared I run back to my house and lock the door behind me. Are these creatures peaceful or do these pose a threat to me? Suddenly there is a knock at the door....
"Hello Mr.Gibbons?" I open the door to see a police car outside my house. "We have received a couple of calls about strange lights in the sky out in these parts. Have you seen anything?" At this point you can barely make out a word. |

 As selfish as it might be you decide to say nothing to the police and rather blog about it. Posting pictures and providing a full detailed explanation of what you saw, you write long posts on your blog about your experience.
Heck you even ping your entry and let the search engines know about it. Within minutes your first comment shows. Three minutes later you have 12 comments. Your counter is flying with thousands of visits within the hour! This has to be the most amazing thing that has even happened to you. Three hours later you have over 1 million visits to your blog with everyone asking where you reside? It is pure blog mayhem! |

NBC, FOX, CNN -- Everyone is trying to get ahold of you, desperately looking for more information. Within minutes you hear news trucks outside setting up their gear. Within the hour there are media people lined up a mile down the road. Everyone in town is now outside the house as well. You turn on the TV and you can see pictures of your house and the pictures you posted on your blog. This is pure lunacy! |

You decide to open the door and lead everyone to the woods where you saw the aliens. There are literally hundreds of people with you as you make your way back to the clearance. Everyone comes to the place in the woods but to your surprise nothing is there. There is clear evidence of burned wood and where the spaceship touched down. Police start to secure the area while the media is snapping shots of everything. People continue deeper into the woods but find no more traces of the aliens or their ship. Yes you might be famous but you need to finish this level to cash in on the rewards. Good luck! |
